Dear friends & colleagues,

You can't NOT SEE Kevin McMahill's campaign signs, Stan Hyt's flyers, or Tom Roberts' posters as you go around town currently. Wouldn't the money paid for these ads be better spent on children's school supplies and meals?

We think so. Therefore, my campaign is not asking for money from our incredible supporters. Instead, please donate to Three Square or sponsor an excellent Clark County School District teacher if you are so inclined.

You see, we decided to keep our campaign simple. Uncluttered by fancy advertising slogans and promises. Unbeholden to big-money contributors. And Undeterred from focusing on our most important goal - getting to work for Clark County! AND we're already doing it, working right now to improve our community!

Here are some things my team and I are doing right now ...

1. In the airport tunnel, I am getting the cringingly slow and dangerous 35-mph speed zone to "go away" and be appropriately changed to a reasonable and safe speed limit of 55-60 mph.
2. My team and I are finding better ways to provide more help and hope to homeless people who typically refuse existing services. This is in addition to my personal-ongoing outreach activities.
3. We are working to clarify satisfactorily and then communicate the cannabis consumption laws to our tourists and locals. The rules about using these legal substances outside their private homes are a primary concern. They're confusing and challenging to comply with.
4. We are working on getting a scrutinous, county-wide probe going into the extreme overuse of construction zoning, orange cones, closed lanes, etc., in literally every part of the valley.
5. We have been speaking with the fine men and women at our "adopted" police area command station and Clark County fire station about issues facing them at work and in general. We are learning a lot about how many rank-and-file public safety employees feel about their careers and workplaces.
6. Instead of handing out campaign t-shirts, we're selling LVMPD-branded gear! Profits go to the LVMPD Foundation, which supports initiatives that prevent crime, save lives and make Southern Nevada a safer place to live, work and visit.
7. To raise money for the LVMPDF and Three Square, we will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Ice Cream Social! Save the date of Sunday, May 22, 2022.

If you like our ideas, I would love to hear from you. I also sincerely hope you will tell me if there are any problems you're dealing with that I might be able to assist with. I promise I will listen closely and try to help whatever they are.
